Fair Work, Health, Safety and Equality Course
Creating Fair and Healthy Workplaces – the crucial role of Trade Union reps This course will be delivered via Scottish Hazards on ZOOM
Course Details:
Day One – Dec 4th 2025 10am to 2pm
Becoming effective and supportive Trade Union reps for workers with protected characteristics. Introductions and an intro to Fair Work. Playing a leadership role in the workplace encouraging good practice Understanding, insisting on and using good individual and collective Risk Assessments.
Day Two – December 11th 2025 10am to 2pm
Becoming effective and supportive Trade Union reps for workers with protected characteristics.
Day Three – 15th Jan 2026 10am to 2pm
“Tackling Economic Activity Fairly, Safely and Justly”
The UK Government Keep Britain Working Agenda, positives, and negatives and how reps can challenge it and utilise it. The Scottish Government’s Fair Work Agenda, positives, and negatives and how to help make it real in the workplace. The Scottish Government’s Health @Work agenda – what might the future hold.
Day 4 – January 22nd 2026 10am to 2pm
Becoming more effective Trade Union Reps – roles, responsibilities, and tools. Action planning for Individual rep action plans.
